Project Detail

Project: Relationship of Myxobolus cerebralis Infected Tubifex to Infection Rates and Severity of Whirling Disease in Trout: An Integrated Study of Rock Creek, Montana

Primary Investigator: Willard Granath
Project Summary: Progress was made in relating the level of infection of the worm host to trout. Significance: While fish may be infected throughout a drainage, the worm host may not be, indicating that the fish are probably infected by drifting TAMs.
Funding Period: 1998-1999
